In what Pat Robertson is describing as the Seventh Sign of the Apocalypse, flocks of giant seagulls have descended on the continent of Australia.
So far the only one captured on film is this guy, who paced back and forth a few times before eating this newsreader’s head, but unfortunately that happened after the camera went off…
According to CNN, Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman are hiding out inside the Opera House armed with nothing but brooms, and the Prime Minister of Australia has asked President Obama to send a squad of giant cats as fast as he can.

Yes, it’s the fantabulous Caplin Rous again, this time sporting the kind of look that suggests he’s just about to berate you for not taking that turn quick enough, or for driving 2 miles over the speed limit. Capybaras, can’t drive with them, cant leave them at home or they’ll eat your couch.

In case you’re wondering, this remarkable critter is a Capybara, in fact this particular individual is a rather famous capy by the unlikely name of Caplin Rous, and he has his own website at GiantHamster.com
Capybaras are the world’s largest rodents and related to guinea pigs, whom they sound very similar to as you can see from the first video below. The video isn’t of Caplin, but it does contain some great chirping noises by these amazing critters. In the second video Caplin and his owner visit a school and it’s hard to tell who’s more delighted by the visit – the kids or the teachers!
This is one of those things that’s not really funny, just very cute. Here are some baby mongooses making mischief at the Bronx Zoo.
This cute little guy will go anywhere for a treat, not only that, he’ll do it while standing up!
